Experience Life on the Farm

Good morning!

It is a crisp 28' this morning here on the farm, but the sun is shining! I'm sending this email out newsletter fashion to let you know what we have been up to this year on the farm.

This time last year we were talking to folks about opening a farm to table certified kitchen. We gathered helpful information from many of you and plunged ahead. The result is a certified kitchen from which we can cater to large groups, teach classes and present farm to table dinners. We have also added a ground level, covered pavilion and public restrooms. This fall we moved our hydroponic barley operation out of the main barn and into a brand new fodder "barn" which encloses a 48' refrigerator trailer and trimmed it out with a cozy porch. The fall also brings the construction of our farm store attached to the main barn. It will carry ONLY Arkansas Grown/ Arkansas Made products. From jellies to handmade quilts, we will showcase direct farm products and local crafts.

Please take a moment to check out our Facebook page and see all of the photos.

I am also attaching our menu for this months Farm to Table Dinner (See below). We will do one a month, on a Friday evening. Please share this with people that may be interested.

As we plan for the spring season we are organizing cooking camps for the kids here in really rural Arkansas. This will give us internship opportunities. Please keep us in mind if you know someone that would be interested in participating.

Thank you for your interest in Dogwood Hills and all of the input you have given along the way. We are very excited about this new venture!

We wish you warm winter blessings,

Ruth, Thomas and Grace Pepler
