Chalybeate Springs is the name of the area due to the high volume of minerals in the water thought to once have healing powers.  Now its just basically called Iron in your water.  Welcome to Chalybeate Springs Farms! We are the Sims Family, we all have Agriculture Degrees-Animal Science, Ag Business, Ag Ed, and Vet Tech.  We are farmers and gardeners passionate about our way of life. By leveraging the power of our hoop house, we are able to turn a short season into a year-round bounty for our family. We are still in the learning stages of experimental cover cropping, and sustainable living under plastic as we have always had a garden in all weather conditions.
