My jewelry pieces are the work that I want to see in the world, but have not experienced yet. I love for my pieces to catch the eye. Going big and elaborate is essential because I feel it is a celebration of being alive. While we are on this earth we should surround ourselves with marvelous things, people, and experiences that fill us with joy. Krystal Bijoux pieces should not only be stunning, but to connect with the viewer on a deeper level by eliciting a fanciful sense of wonder.

Another joy of mine in creating jewelry is representing black women. Representation is important, and I want to make jewelry pieces that black girls and women alike can see themselves in a beautiful, positive light. How one sees herself is crucial, and I want my work to influence that view positively.
